Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as the "User", "you") and Veniamin Bakalinskiy (hereinafter referred to as the "Owner", "we", "us"), governing the use of the CanReadNow web service available at canreadnow.com and app.canreadnow.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").
By using the Service, registering an account, or accessing any content or functionality of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Service Description
CanReadNow is a web-based application for teaching children ages 2 to 10 to read using the scientifically-based global reading method (whole-word reading approach). The Service is designed for use by parents, guardians, and professionals working with children, including children with special educational needs.
The Service is available through a web browser at app.canreadnow.com, as well as a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that can be installed on mobile devices and computers. Content is provided in three languages: Russian, English, and Hebrew.
The Service functionality includes: interactive flashcard sessions, learning progress tracking, creation of custom word lists, PDF report generation, reinforcement exercises, and creation of mini reading books.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on the Service. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Parents and legal guardians register accounts on behalf of their children. Children do not create accounts directly and do not interact with the Service without adult involvement. By creating a child profile, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian.
4. Account Registration
When registering, you must provide a valid and accurate email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for ensuring the security of your account.
You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach by sending a message to [email protected].
5. Subscription Plans and Payment
The Service offers the following subscription plans:
- Free plan: $0 — access to 100 words, basic flashcard sessions.
- Lite plan: $10/month or $100/year — access to 1,000 words, phrases and word combinations.
- Full plan: $20/month or $200/year — unlimited words, reinforcement exercises, creation of mini reading books.
When adding additional child profiles to the same account, a 50% discount is applied to each additional profile, starting from the second.
All payments are processed through the Allpay payment service (allpay.co.il). We do not store your credit card information. Payment processing is carried out in accordance with Allpay's security policy.
We reserve the right to change subscription plan prices. We will notify you of any price changes at least 30 days before they take effect via the email address provided during registration.
6. Free Plan
Upon registration, each new user receives access to the Free plan, which includes 100 words and basic features. No credit card is required to sign up. The Free plan has no time limit.
To access advanced features, additional words, and learning materials, you can upgrade to a paid plan (Lite or Full) at any time. Learning progress data is preserved when changing plans.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. After cancellation, access to the paid plan features continues until the end of the current billing period. Once it expires, the account is converted to the Free plan.
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods on monthly subscriptions. For annual subscriptions: if you request cancellation and a refund within the first 30 days after payment for an annual plan, you will receive a pro-rated refund for the remaining unused period.
