Getting Started

Everything you need to know to start teaching reading with CanReadNow

5 Steps to Your First Session

01

Create an Account

Go to app.canreadnow.com and click "Register".

  • Enter your name, email, and password
  • Choose interface language (Russian, English, or Hebrew)
  • Click "Register" — done!
02

Add a Child Profile

After logging in, you will see the onboarding screen. Here you will set up your child's profile.

  • Enter your child's name (or nickname)
  • Enter date of birth — the system will automatically select the right stage
  • Select developmental differences (Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, etc.) — this customizes the program
  • Choose learning languages (you can select multiple)
  • Choose a track: "Classic" (basic nouns), "Functional" (everyday words), or both
03

Start Your First Session

On the main page (Dashboard), you will see a "Start Session" button. Click it — and the session begins.

  • The system will show 5 categories of 5 words — 25 active words total
  • Words are displayed in large font on a white background
  • Each word is read aloud automatically
  • A session takes 2-5 minutes — perfect for children with short attention spans
  • After the session, the system automatically updates progress
04

Set Up Reminders

In "Settings" you can configure reminders and schedules.

  • Set the number of sessions per day (3 recommended)
  • Configure email reminders — choose time and days of the week
  • Minimum interval between sessions — 30 minutes
  • The system will remind you when it's time to practice
05

Track Progress

The dashboard shows all of your child's learning statistics.

  • Number of learned, active, and new words
  • Session history — when and how many words were shown
  • Progress by category — which topics are mastered
  • As words are learned, they are automatically replaced with new ones

Tips for Successful Sessions

Recommendations tested by specialists and parents

1

Practice Regularly

3 short sessions per day are more effective than one long one. Consistency is the key to success.

2

Don't Test Your Child

Don't ask "what does this say?". Just show and read aloud. Your child will learn at their own pace.

3

Praise Participation

Acknowledge the act of practicing, not "correct answers". Learning should be joyful.

4

Follow Your Child's Interests

Add words that matter to your child: names, favorite objects, food.
